水平轉頭A-4-81適用于eppendorf 5810R低溫高速離心機。
A-4-81轉頭與A-4-62雖樣品通量不同，但均采用了輕質矩形吊籃外形，適配器整體上沿用了分層墊片式結構設計。譬如50mL、45mL和25mL錐形管可共享一額定容量5×50mL、底部為錐形的5810723000適配器、15mL與5.0mL錐形管使用相同的12×15mL容量5810722004適配器。5825730003適配器是一例外，它采用的高度固定的傳統(tǒng)一體式結構設計，當使用管身長度83mm以內的25mL錐形管時，管底需添加相應墊片，以便使離心管上部高出適配器頂，方便取放離心管。
A-4-81額定工作容量4×500mL，可直接將500mL離心瓶載入吊籃中離心。當使用175-400mL離心瓶時，轉頭提供了250mL、400mL圓底適配器。對于175m、225LmL和250mL錐形離心瓶，除250mL適配器外還需使用離心瓶制造商提供的響應瓶墊方可正常工作。
與A-4-62相似，A-4-81還可配置微孔板吊籃。A-4-81可以兩兩對稱形式混合裝載兩個工作板吊籃和兩個矩形吊籃離心，方便使用操作。
吊籃、轉頭蓋和適配器可高溫高壓滅菌 (121℃，20分鐘)。
選配氣密性轉頭蓋還可以安全離心任何適用的危險樣品。
